About the Blog

Why do I want to blog? The idea of sharing my personal feelings and life experiences terrifies me and has kept me from writing in the past. Time and time again, I’ve felt the urge and excitement to share about my life, only to quickly become plagued by questions. Does anyone really care what I have to say? Do I even have anything of worth to share? What are my intentions for doing the blog? What if people hate it, think negatively of me, judge me, use it against me, make nasty comments, etc. I am nobody to all but a handful of people in this world.

The only answer I have for all the questions is, God made me do it. I have no other explanation for this constant urging to write a personal blog about my life. It’s a huge risk to expose yourself to a world that expects perfection, to share the uglier sides of life with strangers. It’s much safer to keep all the nasty, putrid failures at home and only show people the polished, happy, I’ve-got-it-all-together persona. It’s all about what people think of us, not who we truly are.

So I am finally answering God’s Call, which is to share the perfect love of Jesus Christ through my own personal experiences. God has something to say through me, and I’m going to stop getting in His way. Everyone’s journey to knowing and loving God is completely unique. God speaks to every person on Earth, but He makes it our personal, free will decision to listen to Him, and more and more people are choosing not to. Just know, that His plan for all our lives is perfect, even when it doesn’t make sense. Writing a blog about my seemingly inconsequential (at least in my eyes) life makes no sense, but God has been whispering for me to do it for years, so now I’m finally choosing to listen. May my writing glorify Him alone. May you all see only Him in it. May my words be the vessel He uses to show you all how much He loves you. And may you finally begin to seek Him on your own and develop your personal relationship with Him.
